The purpose of the Chemical Dependency Training Consortium of the Northwest is to provide low-cost training for the staff, interns and volunteers of member agencies and other professional caregivers. All training provided must meet all standards of and be recognized for continuing-education credit by the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and the Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon (ACCBO).

Where do trainings take place?

As of January 2013, the CDTC will hold trainings at PeaceHealth Southwest Mill Plain Campus at 600 NE 92nd Avenue, Vancouver, Washington 98664, which is on the campus of the Main Hospital in the Health Education Center.

The location of a training is always listed on our website, on the brochure and on your registration confirmation.

How often do you have trainings?

The CDTC strives to hold a monthly training on the second Friday of each month except for April. The hours of trainings are typically 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On occasion the CDTC may alter the training times at the request of a trainer.

I want to attend a training. How do I register?

If you are on our website, www.addictionceu.org, click on the header "Our Trainings" and select a training you would like to attend. At the bottom of the screen in the registration form that you can complete and submit. Once you have registered please send payment. You can additionally print off the training brochure and fill out the registration form. A written registration form can be faxed to 1-360-557-5032 or mailed with your payment to CDTC, P.O. Box 847, Vancouver, WA 98666.

Do you provide for lunch at the training?

Typically lunch is not provided. The CDTC does provide morning and afternoon refreshments but often lunch is on your own. The training schedule will indicate if lunch is on your own and an hour lunch break is provided. If lunch is being provided, it is noted on the training announcement and there will be an additional registration charge.

I would like to attend but...I'll be late / I have to leave early / I only want to come for the morning...will I receive full continuing education credits?

The CDTC is approved by NAADAC Approved Education Provider Program. This continuing education opportunity qualifies for 6 hours. Full attendance is required to receive continuing education credits. You are always welcome to attend and participate in the training but will not receive continuing education credits. Variable credit for partial attendance may not be provided per NAADAC.

How do I pay for a training?

  • Pre-registration and payment in advance is required.
    • Please mail your payment at least one week prior to training
    • We do not accept any form of debit or credit card at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
    • Send payment to: CDTC, P.O. Box 847, Vancouver, WA 98666.
  • Please notify CDTC if you are unable to attend training.
    • Refund: A refund may be given only when notification is given at least 3 days prior to the training. Notification under 3 days will follow the credit
      agreement.
    • Credit: If notification is given within 1 week after the training, a credit will be given for the next training only.
    • If CDTC cancels training, registration fees will be refunded in full.
